West Coast Modernism meets Bermuda Cottage. With its clean lines, inviting spaces and extensive use of warm woods and natural stone, this is a refined but comfortable home, located on Devonshire Bay.
The renovation and additions to this 2,850 sq ft existing cottage to form a new 3,600 sq ft home, consisted of adding another level over a portion of the house and upgrading the kitchen, bathrooms and interior finishes. The new master bedroom suite located on the upper level has wonderful views over Devonshire bay.
The open plan ground floor living areas afford views to Devonshire Bay from all angles. The owners’ love of natural materials is evident in the selection of complementary woods and stone throughout this warm and inviting home. The fireplace has the Bermuda cedar entrance post from the old cottage set into the wall of the fireplace as a keepsake from the past. Interior details to doors and millwork were kept simple and yet refined throughout, allowing the natural wood and stone materials to speak for themselves.
